28 Strikes in Iraq, Syria During March 2020

US-Led Coalition Conducts

CJTF-OIR said in a statement on Thursday that the US-led coalition carried out 28 airstrikes against ISIS in March.

The statement said: "Between March 1 and March 31, 2020, CJTF-OIR carried out a total of 28 raids consisting of 44 clashes in Iraq and Syria."

The coalition said that it launched 20 raids in Iraq that killed ten terrorists, destroyed one cave and suppressed three locations.

The statement said: "In Syria, the Joint Task Force-OIR carried out eight strikes against ISIS [Islamic State] targets consisting of 16 clashes, resulting in eight terrain denials."

The US-led coalition from more than 60 countries has launched airstrikes and other operations against ISIS in Iraq since August 2014 and in Syria since September 2014.

But the coalition acted in Syria without the approval of the Syrian government or the UN Security Council.
