From the evening of 7 May 2020 you’ll able to shop again.
I announce the opening of stores in Bahrain again this week.
Retailers will be allowed to open their doors from the
evening of May 7, 2020, provided the store takes a number of precautionary
measures.
All employees and customers will be required to wear face
masks, and the number of people inside the store must be reduced at any time to
ensure that you follow the social separation guidelines. There should also be
spaced floor signs to wait in line outside the store.
Facilities must also be regularly and thoroughly
disinfected, according to the Ministry of Health guidelines.
This was announced last night by His Royal Highness Prince
Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Deputy
Prime Minister.
Unlike previous announcements, no reopening review has been
scheduled.
His Highness the Crown Prince said at the government
executive committee meeting, which was held remotely, that the restaurants will
remain closed.
Gyms, swimming pools and other recreational centers will remain
closed, as are cinemas and salons.
Restaurants will remain takeaway and delivery only,
gatherings are limited to less than five people. Face masks are still
mandatory.
