Heavy rains lashed different districts of Sindh and Punjab last night

of Sindh and Punjab, last night made the weather pleasant but due to rains power
supply was suspended in many areas.
Sukkur, Ghotki, Mirpur Mathelo, Obaro, Umerkot and Daharki
received heavy rains with thunderstorms after strong winds last night. As soon
as it rained, power supply was suspended in these areas, causing distress to
the citizens throughout the night. However, due to rain and wind, the heatwave
broke.
According to the SEPCO spokesperson, 115 feeders were
tripped in Sukkur due to rains which resulted in suspension of power supply in
the affected areas including Sukkur, Shahdad Kot, Shikarpur, Kandhkot, Khairpur,
Jacobabad, Ghotki, Obaro, Rohri and Panu Aqil.
SEPCO spokesman said that rehabilitation of affected feeders
is underway. Power feeders are being restored in phases. All affected feeders
will be restored soon. It is raining.
